Hey you—welcome!
If you are interested in my art, email me at cw@cherylwheelerart.com or dm on Instagram.
I don’t know how you found your way here, though I’m really glad you did.
This is my creative world—a splashy, colorful corner of the internet where paint gets messy, beauty gets discovered by accident, and stories show up in the most unexpected ways.
Whether we’ve crossed paths before or you’re brand new, welcome. Pull up a chair. Or scroll. I’m not picky.
For the past 25 years, I’ve been elbow-deep in paints, pouring my heart onto canvas and connecting with people like you—who just *get* that art isn’t just something to hang… it’s something to *feel*.
Honestly? Working with collectors and creating custom pieces together has been one of the most joyful parts of this wild ride.
So if you’re here for color, connection, or just a little creative spark—stick around. I’d love to keep in touch and share what’s new from the studio (and maybe even invite you into a creative conversation or two).
See you soon!
I’m excited to be exhibiting my new work together with Kathy Tranmer at our Contemporary & Wordscape Art Show, at the Centro Cultural Vallartenese, Isla del Rio Cuale 33, located beside the Gringo Gulch Bridge on Cuale Island. The exhibition runs from February 23 through March 8. Bring your friends and join us for the Opening Reception on February 25 at 5:00 pm and enjoy an evening of art and conversation.

If my work speaks to you, I’d love to invite you closer. My goal is connect monthly and share my inner world with you.
So, who am I? (Glad you asked!)
I’m Cheryl—a Canadian-born, beach-living, garden-loving, paint-slinging artist with a soft spot for color and kindness.
I’ve been making art professionally for 25+ years (wild, right?). But the best part? The conversations I’ve had with people like you.
I believe art has a way of showing up exactly when we need it. Sometimes as a gift. Sometimes as a reflection. Sometimes as a really bold splash of turquoise that says: “Hey. You’re alive.”
My paintings live all over the world now, and each one carries a little piece of my heart—and maybe a little piece of yours, too.
Come on in... Take a look around!
These are some of my favorite pieces—each one made with joy, mess, and a whole lotta conditioner. (Yes, really.)
Some are still available to make your walls happy. Others have already found their forever homes. But all of them? Made with love and intuition. Interested in a piece? Drop me a line at cw@cherylwheelerart.com — I’d love to hear from you.

It reads like a realization rather than a command, almost as if the painting discovered it and wrote it down for us.
While I paint, words of doubt appear, and gentler ones return. This piece comes from that inner dialogue we all live with. It reminds me hope doesn’t arrive only once; it comes back softly, inviting me to keep believing and moving forward.
As I painted, the words appeared before I planned them. This piece came from learning to stop fixing myself and start listening. It reflects the shift from self-judgment to acceptance, when I realized I was never meant to become someone else, only to feel at home within myself.
This piece grew out of the tension between old stories and a steadier truth. It comes from choosing to believe I am enough without proving it. It holds the moment I stopped negotiating my value and quietly stood inside it. If you are interested email me
This piece speaks to the moment I stopped trying to earn love. Underneath doubt and comparison, there was always something whole already there. It reminds me I didn’t become worthy over time; I arrived that way, and learning to believe it is part of the work.
This painting is more self-aware than inspirational. It’s almost you catching yourself being hard on yourself… and then answering back with humor.
This piece gathers dreams, fears, and possibilities all together. It reflects the moment I stopped waiting to feel ready. Instead of listening to the voice that says “someone else can,” I chose to ask a different question: why not me?
This piece is filled with small messages I needed to hear. Instead of fixing or striving, it comes from practicing gentleness and noticing simple moments of aliveness. It reflects a shift toward gratitude, kindness, and choosing joy in ordinary days.
This piece reflects a quiet choice about which voice I follow. Thoughts come and go, but something steadier remains underneath. It holds the moment I stopped letting fear narrate my life and trusted the calmer place inside me to lead.
This piece gathers the things that bring me back to myself: art, nature, movement, love, and wonder. It reflects moments when ordinary life feels quietly sacred. Instead of searching for meaning somewhere far away, I’m reminded it appears in simple attention to the day in front of me.
JOY MATTERS TODAY AND I AM MOTIVATED TO INVEST MY FOCUS ON CREATING JOY EVERYDAY. LARGE 42 INCH ROUND
Beneath thoughts and noise, something steady remains. This painting is a return to that quiet presence within.
BAD BUNNY INSPIRED HEART - "THE ONLY THING MORE POWERFUL THAN HATE IS LOVE" SOLD EMAIL ME FOR A CUSTOM HEART
A quiet reminder to allow love in. The words hold the simple idea that receiving can be as important as giving.
The eyes stay present while the words “be nice” soften the moment. It reflects noticing the inner voice without letting it decide who I am.
A soft field surrounds a concentrated form. The painting reflects stillness holding activity, a sense of calm space allowing movement to exist without disturbance
Stay a while. And if you’d like to keep in touch, I’d love to share more with you from time to time.
