Cheryl Wheeler’s artistic intention is to engage an intimacy of the human Spirit with the spiritual beauty of flowers.  This intention is achieved with a richness and gentle strength of colour that spills onto the canvas.....swirls and angles, dark and light and a simple complexity are all captured with an uplifting boldness of texture, hues and shape.

For the past ten years, Cheryl has studied with numerous accomplished teachers of floral painting, seeking to expand as an artist and gain a deeper understanding of the miracles of flowers.  A semi.abstract style and the medium of acrylic and oil glaze, guide the artist to capture the mysterious intricacies of the floral spirit more readily.

Embracing a Grateful life and gloriously inspired by the Blessings of flowers, Cheryl, welcomes each day with her husband, John and son, George....painting in her studios in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and Whistler, British Columbia, Canada.
