Cheryl Wheeler’s artistic intention is to engage an intimacy of the human Spirit with the spiritual beauty of flowers and now the human figure. This intention is achieved with a richness and gentle strength of colour that spills onto the canvas.....swirls and angles, dark and light and a simple complexity are all captured with an uplifting boldness of texture, hues and shape.
For the past ten years, Cheryl has studied with numerous accomplished teachers of floral painting, seeking to expand as an artist and gain a deeper understanding of the miracles of flowers. A semi.abstract style and the medium of acrylic and oil glaze, guide the artist to capture the mysterious intricacies of the floral spirit more readily.
Embracing a Grateful life Cheryl, welcomes each day with her husband, John and son, George....painting in her studios in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and Whistler, British Columbia, Canada.

My family had the opportunity to support the SPCA of Puerto Vallarta by going to their loving Gala Dinner at San Angel Chapel. The dinner is generously donated by the owner of the restaurant. I was able to donate a painting to the live auction which helped them raise more funds for the animals.
